Wrapped in Love, Kipp Price of Gainesville Fl. passed away peacefully at Haven Hospice on Sat., Oct. 26th, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. La Maleta/The Suitcase
by Rev. Blanca Ibenia Aguilar

Dying To Be Free
by Rev. Stacey Piedrahita
All I ever wanted was just to be me, to be loved for who I am, not for who I used to be
How are you supposed to know who you are when the past won't set you free?
I'm afraid to look in the mirror
What if all I see is shame, depression, and sorrow
Stop saying that Stace. You are no longer a prisoner of your own war
You are safe
You are loved
You are divinely adored
Be courageous
Be brave
There is no more to fear
That's what I kept hearing
Why can't I believe the roar?
I …
Comfortably Numb
by Rev. Stacey Piedrahita
I was comfortable in the darkness and never wanted help. I thought I deserved all the abuse and neglect.
How did I get it so wrong where were my teachers? It wasn't their fault. I was numb to any feeling.
Even if they wanted to help and offer me a hand, I won't have taken it because that is who I am.
I suffered in silence and compromised my health. I'm not that girl anymore. I keep repeating to myself. The past is now dead and gone buried like a tulip bulb after …
Just Visiting
by Rev. Dr. Zannah Hackett
A long time ago their lived a little girl. She had long thick strawberry blonde curls that fell to the bottom of her pinafore and big sparkly blue eyes that made everyone smile when she looked at them. Her mother was a nurse, and the little girl was her only child. Because the mother did not want to leave her child alone, the mother would take the little girl to work with her. The little girl loved this very much.
The mother worked at a special place. It wa…
