Constant Change

Today we take a few moments to acknowledge the ways that our personal situations and those of our loved ones have changed over the past two years. Even as we read these words, our local, national, and world events continue to impact our individual and collective circumstances.

We can realize that changes are a constant in our earthly lives and in the universes, but we may not always feel prepared for the tasks of meeting challenges without fears or resentments.

In a quiet time set aside for my own reflections, I welcome the inspiration of the Divine Creator into my mind and heart. I begin to recognize and accept the situations over which I have no control in my human life, as I perceive it. As I do, I release my doubts and uncertainties and call on the strength and authority of Infinite Source Energy; then, I remember that I am never alone. I consciously and deliberately expand my combined power to alter any circumstance with blessings and affirmations that are always present in my soul.

My uplifting thoughts and benedictions add God-ness to insupportable conditions; my indomitable spirit, linked with Collective Creation, becomes capable of reshaping events in my life and on the earth.

Affirmation: With the support, strength, and authority of Divine Source Energy, I am confident that all is well.

I now allow, acknowledge, accept and affirm that these things are so.

Rev. Rita, thank you for your words of wisdom, so needed in these times of constant change.  And, of course, I welcome your reminder that our Divine Creator has endowed us with Divine Love for our Highest Good. Aho!

Thank you Rev Rita. Beautiful reflection and affirmation. I am feeling that our daily (perhaps, minute-to-minute) affirmations have incredible impact on the creation of our world. To the point that I may have become (have been?) annoying to many with my reminders of conscious language.  Some obvious examples: "That workout was a killer!" or, "Wow, I was really dead after work yesterday!"  Of course, many self-statements are much more subtle yet send low vibration messages to our brains and cells.  So much of what we speak is a plus or minus in what is essentially a zero-sum game. I will never forget Rev Dr Barbara Hanshaw's lesson on non-judgement. Rather than saying something is good or bad, she challenged us to use the simple phrase, "Isn't that interesting?" This informs that we are aware AND it takes the "charge"  (GOOD+/BAD-) off the acknowledgement.  Marianne Williamson, live in Miami a few years ago, was asked about how to take societal positions without being judgmental.  She said that choosing is not judgment. Rather than, this is good or bad, she suggests the process is, "I want this, I don't want that."  Every time I think about this "choice field," I wonder if the "I don't want" is constructive. Isn't it enough to say, "I want PEACE!" without even using the word war? Aligning with ADL's foundational philosophy of applying "The Highest Good for All" standard, only choosing the highest GOOD is the ultimate habit of conscious creation of a world that is GOOD FOR ALL.

Thank you so much, Lindsay. We have the same views on our use of language. My friends have taken my habit to heart. I always rephrase or re-phrame their damaging verbiage and they now  do it too. They even knock on wood as they're correcting themselves. It's so cute!

Reverend Rita,

Thank you. It has happened upon my heart often that there are some folks that may feel very alone.  I love that you remind us that we are never alone and that blessings and affirmations are always with us. And even these, we can collectively send to others.  It was so good to see you in st Augustine. You are a delight to my heart.
