I Believe This. I Practice This. Join Me.

by Rev. Rita Scheibeck
Yesterday, I saw the text below on face book. It was written, I believe by Amy Elizabeth Art, and published on face book by Galactic Council of Lightworkers. I quote: “Imagine what 7 billion humans could accomplish if we all loved and respected each other. Imagine that and give it a few minutes of your energy a day. We create by the power of our collective consciousness. It’s time for a real change.” The post engaged my interest because it’s exactly how I feel about the part we (all of us) are meant to play in our individual and collective actions. Before I reposted it, I added my own words. “I believe this. I practice this. Join me.”
Today I thought about the post a little more and decided to write about my beliefs and why the above ideas should be and could be true.
I don’t, not even for one little second, want anyone to think that changing the world with love and respect is easy. In fact, for me and most other people I know, it’s very difficult. The really hard part of it is truly loving those we consider unlovable, or even unforgiveable. It is my belief that the bullies, the warmongers, the “want-to-be”s, the true troublemakers, the blind followers, the fence sitters, and those oblivious or indifferent to the dangers are the ones who need our prayers and our Love the most. The hatred and fear that “seem” to permeate our society and the world cannot thrive where there is Love, compassion, truth and spiritual connection. The more we refuse to engage in destruction, dispute and division, the more uncomfortable those who hate, control and fear become.

Changing thru Love takes time, yes. It takes persistence and diligence, yes. And it takes the absolute belief that our collective creative forces give us the power to Love, in spite our own, or anyone else’s free will. This is not a task for the timid or the doubtful. It requires courage, commitment and most of all, faith. The more of us who stand together in Love, not against one another, but loving ALL others, the more completely and quickly we will see peaceful and healing changes to all countries and their leaders, to our diseased environment and to our fragmented world. I invite you, all of you, to set aside you differences and grievances (however justified you may believe them) and reach deep inside your true self for the Love of which you were born. Drag that Love, kicking and screaming if you have to, into your mind, your feelings and your heart. Pull it out into the light and shine it into the corners of every dark place you have imagined. Then you (WE) will transform the dark into the light, trade division for inclusion and connection, and replace mistrust with forgiveness. Hatred and fear will become impotent and peace will take dominion over all.
Affirmation: I call on all my inner strength and faith now, and I give Love and shine light on all people and situations in the world.
I now allow, acknowledge, accept and affirm that these things are so.
