Alliance of Divine Love, National Conference, 2016
- A Divine Love Infusion -
The conference was just that, A Divine Love Infusion. I personally would like to thank all the folks who participated to make this conference such a Divine Love infused event.
A special heartfelt “Thank You” to all of the conference committee members. They worked so hard in Service to our ministry. Each dedicated their time and efforts to create an event that would inspire, educate, and form new friendships for those in attendance. I could say so much more about each person, and their participation, but I would have to write a book. I loved working with each of these ministers. Each one is truly a Blessing to our ministry.
Rev. John Kowalchyck: Master of Ceremony, Secretary, Planning and budget; his quick wit and beautiful smile kept us on track. John has been involved in a great deal of the planning since the conception of the Conference.
Rev. Heidi Kowalchyck: Music, Thursday “Meet and Greet”, and Co-Secretary
Rev. Dr. Ann Decoeur: Coordinated the whale watch and flew in early to assist
Rev. Laura Coulter: Healing Garden, created a space of Love and healing
Rev. Dr. Laurie Anderer: Created a beautiful program and inspired those with her guided opening to begin the conference
A special thanks to:
Rev. Brian Crissey, our electronics Guru.
Rev. Pam Crissey, who helped wherever needed.
Thank you to our National President, Rev. Dr. Elf Passagno, and the Board of Trustees who have volunteered and dedicated themselves to our ministry: Rev. Dr. Wanda Bebee, Rev. Charlotte McGinnis, Rev. Shellie Enteen, Rev. Dr. Linda Marie Nelson, and Rev. Lorri Gliner. Of course, we would not have a ministry without Rev. Dr. Barbara Selwa, our founder, and guided classes.
Thursday’s “Meet and Greet” was coordinated by Rev. Heidi Kowalchyck. We each shared information about ourselves as well as when, where, and how our ministry began.
Friday morning, those who were going to see the whales met with Rev. Dr. Ann. We did get a small glimpse of two whales and it made for a morning of fellowship and enjoyment at sea.
Those who remained on shore either met with Laurie or Arlene to make origami or art projects.
The conference began with Rev. Dr. Laurie Anderer guiding each participant to leave their stuff outside. We each entered through the portal as our Esteemed Doctors of Divinity greeted, and infused Love into, each individual as they entered the sanctuary. Each participant also greeted, and infused Love into, all our attendees. Laurie began the conference with a guided meditation. We were then welcomed by our beautiful National President, Elf, who thanked all those who travelled so far to be a part of this event. Elf also told us about the hard work and dedication of those who volunteer their time to make this ministry work.
We ordained six ministers at the conference and renewed our Vows. I was able to spend some time with each of our new ministers. Each one a beautiful and unique soul:
Rev. Vicki Spray ordained Rev. Betty Carol Parker.
Rev. Charlotte McGinnis ordained Rev. Ben Coonrod, Rev. Tika Vales, and Rev. Donna Bryan.
Rev. Dr. Laurie Anderer ordained Rev. Marienela Oliveras.
Rev. Dr. Peg Gordon ordained Rev. Lisa Cummings.
Our Saturday morning began with yoga and meditation, led by Rev. Blanca, while Rev. John held a morning session on An Introduction to a Course in Miracles.
Rev. Dr. Selwa’s National Address was a fabulous and inspirational message guided from SOAR about giving our stuff to God.
Rev. Dr. Elf Passagno began our National Meeting. She inspired each of us to be an active participant in our organization. She also thanked all the folks on the Board of Trustees, Chapters, and Committees for their continuing support and efforts which allow us to continue our work. Elf opened the floor for questions, or concerns, from those who attended. Elf will take those questions to the Board of Trustees for further communication.
Rev. Charlotte read the financials.
Our Chapter Representatives gave us an update on what is happening in their chapters, followed by Committee presentations. Rev. Dr. Peg, Conference Committee Chairperson, thanked all those who contributed to bringing this conference to fruition and encouraged other folks to sponsor the next conference. Rev. Dr. Linda Marie, Education Chairperson, spoke of the work that has been done to create education for our ministers and teachers. She encouraged ministers in their ongoing education.
It was our pleasure to honor Linda Marie for her dedication and hard work to all of us and our ministry. She has dedicated the last few years to streamlining our paperwork and providing support to each of us.
The conference could not have been successful without those who volunteered and paid their own way to present at this event. Each presenter was amazing in their own right. Each provided us with a little bit of insight into their ministry and the work they perform. This is just a short synopsis of what they presented and I am personally in awe of the work they each do.
Rev. Blanca Aguilar led “Let the Spirit Move You.” We were up and moving and infused with her love.
Rev. Shellie Enteen presented, Self-Sovereignty and the Personal Legend. Please listen to it. The link is provided on our FB page.
Rev. Dr. Ann Decoeur, Rev. John Kowalchyck, Rev. Vicki Spray, and Rev. Joy Dann each gave a history of their experiences and expertise on the counselling panel. They encouraged us to seek their help, and experts, to counsel in our ministry.
Rev. Janet Olson, in her beautiful purple robes, explained the process of officiating funerals and how to include the living and honor those who transitioned.
Rev. Laura Coulter reminded us that we, as healers, must take care of ourselves in order to do our work.
The Rev’s Crissey presented us with how they measure the vibration which produces the essence in the vials that are created. They showed us slides explaining how the levels are achieved in each situation.
Rev. Pam Greenwald, and her Ministry of Roses, works to help our Vets and struggling young people. She has used her love of roses to encourage others to heal through creating their own Love through Roses.
Rev. Vickie Spray conducted a powerful healing circle on the lawn outside. Wow, it was powerful!
Sunday, we closed with each conference committee member taking a part in reminding us of the Alliance of Divine Love’s purpose. As we created the ADL Logo, and formed the circle with a gold ribbon, Rev. Brian gifted each person with the essence that was created during our weekend event. Laura presented each with an amethyst to hold the Love. We sang, we hugged, and we didn’t want the weekend to end.
I Love you and I thank you. We are blessed!
Our next Conference will be held in New Mexico. Rev. Miche Restaino will be sponsoring that Conference. Thanks, Love to Miche.
